Videographers, Editors, and Production Assistant (Interns)

 

We are looking for 10 individuals to work in small groups on the production of our online content for Economic Street TV.

​

A large focus of the work we do is producing engaging content that effectively combines light-hearted humour with an educational message. 

​

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to add to their body of experience and build their portfolio, as well as work with an exciting and fast -growing startup.

​

Ideal candidates will be self-starters who work well with others and are able to work to tight deadlines. Must be competent in using creative softwares such as Final Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

​

10 positions are currently available:

  • 6/7 videographers (to work on a rotational basis in teams of 3-4);

  • 3 editors and;

  • 1 production assistant to coordinate filming schedules and production matters on set.

​

Prior experience (e.g. university portfolio showcasing your work) desired.   Travel expenses covered.

Social Media Manager

 

The Social Media Manager will administer the company’s social media marketing and advertising. Administration includes but is not limited to:

  • Deliberate planning and goal setting (develop and implement social media marketing plan)

  • Development of brand awareness and online reputation

  • Content management

  • SEO (search engine optimisation) and generation of inbound traffic

Content management duties include:

  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content.

  • Identify and improve organisational development aspects that would improve content 

  • Create a regular publishing schedule

  • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns

  • Promote content through social advertising

Junior researchers (Interns)

​

This project offers students the opportunity to gain valuable experience by joining our research programme that seeks to achieve a more targeted and inclusive financial education programme within educational institutions. 

​

It is an opportunity for students to conduct research into current government policies towards financial literacy for 11-18 year olds; explore the success of its implementation and availability within educational institutions; and provide policy recommendations.

​

It is a platform for students to conduct research in a setting and in their field of interest, with the aim to produce meaningful insights suitable for publication.

 

Ideal candidates will be BS/MS/PhD students from Economics//Maths/Finance/Business/Accounting backgrounds who are interested in pursuing a career in policy, economic research and/or education.

 

Applications are also welcome from students studying A-Levels in Economics and Maths, who a are considering pursuing the former at degree level.

Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic individual with analytical skills. Ability to work remotely/from home.

Event Planner (Intern)

​

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with great attention to detail to join the team in coordinating our public events.

​

You'll support the creation of workshops and events that advance the message, mission statement, and impression the company is trying to communicate.

​

You'll be part of the scheduling process, creating an action plan to execute each event to a high standard, and also be responsible for promotional and publicity activities. 

​

The ideal candidate will be flexible in working traditional and non-traditional hours to plan and execute all details related to a variety of meeting formats including webinars, masterclasses, and workshops.

​

Previous experience is preferred but not essential.​    Travel expenses covered.

Web Developer

​

We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of our website.

​

Web developer responsibilities include building our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.

​

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

  • Customise website layout/user interface by using standard JavaScript and Wix API practices

  • Build backend services, such as merchandise and resources store.

  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site

  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

Ideal candidate will come from a computer science background (e.g. currently a BS/MS student at a higher education institute) with some experience in web programming, seeking to develop their skills further by gaining valuable work experience. Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation process, with strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.

 

Must be able to commit 10-hours a week. Ability to work remotely.
