Prior to Economic Street, Olaolu worked in asset management at Fidelity International and at Grant Thornton as a certified accountant, covering various industries including oil and gas, consumer products, telecommunications, property and construction, and UK public sector.

​

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Cambridge University and a first-class degree in Financial Economics. Laolu is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and holds an advanced Level 3 Investment Management Certificate (IMC) awarded by the CFA UK. 

​

Olaolu is passionate about seeing people achieve their full potential, empowering and equipping them with knowledge and information to make better decisions and ultimately become the leaders of tomorrow.

 

His hobbies include travelling, eating, and supporting (mostly moaning about) Arsenal.

Nick

Nicholas is a Senior Product Analyst with 8 years financial services & corporate banking experience in capital markets.

​

Nicholas holds a Master's in Finance from Queen Mary University of London, and a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Kent. He also holds Level 3 Investment Operations Certificate (IOC).

 

Nicholas is passionate about getting people to become financially independent and economically aware of their personal finances, enabling them to make better financial decisions and avoid becoming entrapped in the cycle of debt.

​

Nicholas is married, and together with his wife recently welcomed his second baby boy. Nick is a self-confessed technology nerd, an avid traveller (particularly around Asia) and a sports-lover (he is a great Liverpool fan).

Amir

Amir is a graduate of the London School of Economics, where he undertook a Master's in Business Management. Before that, he completed his Mechanical Engineering Degree at Queen Mary University.

 

At university, Amir took part in many entrepreneurial activities, especially in a society called Enactus where he led a team of 30 to work on many small business ideas and social projects.

 

Amir is passionate about financial literacy and making sure everyone has a chance to understand how to handle and grow their wealth. 

 

Amir is a massive football fan (Arsenal, of course) and enjoys spending his spare time running, swimming or lifting weights.
